WAJO, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Ketua Komisi III DPRD Kabupaten Wajo, Andi Bayuni Marzuki, ST, melontarkan kritik keras terhadap maraknya aktivitas tambang ilegal di sejumlah wilayah Kabupaten Wajo yang dinilai bukan hanya melanggar hukum, tapi telah menjadi ancaman serius terhadap keselamatan warga dan lingkungan hidup. Jumat, (20/06/25).
Dalam pernyataan tegasnya, Andi Bayuni menyebutkan bahwa tambang ilegal tidak bisa lagi dipandang sebagai pelanggaran kecil atau sekadar masalah administrasi. Ia menyebut aktivitas tambang ilegal sebagai *kejahatan lingkungan yang merampas masa depan masyarakat*.
“Ini bukan urusan izin lagi, ini sudah masuk ke wilayah kejahatan terhadap lingkungan dan masyarakat. Mereka menggali tanah seenaknya, merusak hulu DAS, menimbulkan longsor dan banjir, dan sama sekali tidak menyetor apa-apa untuk daerah,” tegas Andi Bayuni di Wajo.

Andi menambahkan, ironisnya, aktivitas tambang liar justru dilakukan secara terbuka, tanpa rasa takut. Bahkan, di beberapa lokasi seperti Jalan Seroja, Kecamatan Tempe, tambang dilakukan dengan terang-terangan dan menyisakan bekas galian yang membahayakan warga sekitar.
“Kalau aparat dan pemerintah terus diam, maka publik bisa menganggap ada pembiaran atau bahkan permainan. Kami di DPRD tidak bisa membiarkan itu terjadi,” Sebutnya
Lebih jauh, Andi Bayuni menyebutkan bahwa penanganan tambang ilegal harus menjadi agenda prioritas bagi pemerintah daerah dan aparat penegak hukum (APH), karena jika dibiarkan, bencana ekologi bisa terjadi kapan saja.
“Hanya karena segelintir orang cari untung dari tambang, ribuan warga lain jadi korban banjir, jalan rusak, sawah tergenang, dan air bersih tercemar. Ini gila. Ini jelas tidak adil,” ujar politisi dari Komisi III tersebut.
Andi Bayuni meminta tindakan tegas segera diambil: penutupan lokasi tambang liar, penyelidikan aktor di baliknya, dan evaluasi menyeluruh terhadap izin yang disalahgunakan.
“Kalau dibiarkan, berarti pemerintah dan APH ikut bertanggung jawab. Kami minta tindakan tegas dan transparan. Tidak bisa lagi hanya bicara, harus ada eksekusi nyata,” Tandasnya
