Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Bandung meraih penghargaan Bhumandala Kanaka (Medali Emas) sebagai Inovasi Terbaik Pemanfaatan Informasi Geospasial dalam Tata Kelola Pemerintahan dari Pemerintah Republik Indonesia.
Penghargaan diterima oleh Penjabat Wali Kota Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono yang diwakili oleh Sekretaris Daerah Kota Bandung, Ema Sumarna dari Kepala Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG), Muh Aris Marfai pada acara Bhumandala Award 2023 di Badung, Bali, Senin 6 November 2023 malam.
Penghargaan tersebut diberikan pada gelaran Asia Pacific Geospatial Forum (APGF) dan Seminar Internasional on Geo-Innovation For a Safe and Sustainable World yang diikuti berbagai negara di dunia.
“Alhamdulilah Kota Bandung meraih Bhumandala Award 2023 sebagai inovasi Terbaik Pemanfaatan Informasi Geospasial dalam Tata Kelola Pemerintahan,” ujar Ema.

Ema mengucapkan terima kasih kepada pemerintah pusat atas kepercayaannya menganugerahkan penghargaan tersebut.

Bhumandala Award 2023 diberikan karena Kota Bandung dinilai berhasil mengembangkan inovasi pemanfaatan informasi geospasial dalam tata kelola pemerintahan. Sehingga berdampak pada produktivitas dan efektivitas kinerja serta untuk kepentingan masyarakat luas.
Penghargaan itu pun sebagai bentuk kolaborasi antar Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) Dinas Ciptabintar, Bapenda, DPMPTSP dan Diskominfo Kota Bandung.
