Irjen Andi Rian bertindak sebagai inspektur upacara memasuki lapangan upacara sekitar pukul 08.00 WITA yang diikuti oleh ratusan anggota Polri sebagai pasukan upacara.
Turut hadir pada upacara Wakapolda Sulsel Brigjen Pol Nasri, SIK, petinggi TNI, para perjabat utama Polda Sulsel.

Orang nomor satu di Korps Bhayangkara Sulsel ini langsung menuju mimbar upacara. Acara kemudian dimulai dengan menyanyikan bersama Mars Polri. Komandan upacara kemudian melaporkan kepada Kapolda bahwa upacara Hari Juang Polri yang dilanjutkan dengan mengheningkan cipta. Dan kemudian dilanjutkan pembacaan sejarah singkat Hari Juang Polri oleh Kasubbagkompoten Kompol Patinggian
Upacara Hari Juang Polri diakhiri oleh pembacaan doa dan ditutup dengan laporan Komandan upacara AKBP Eko Suroso Kabagwatpers Biro SDM Polda Sulsel.
Diketahui bahwa perjuangan Polri dalam mempertahankan kemerdekaan RI yang diawali momentum bersejarah pembacaan teks Proklamasi Polisi yang berimplikasi pergerakan perlawanan melawan penjajah di beberapa daerah hingga terjadi peristiwa 10 November.

menurut Kapusjarah Brigjen Hari Nugroho mengatakan sebelum Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo mengeluarkan Keputusan Kapolri Nomor: KEP/95/I/2024 tanggal 22 Januari 2024 tentang Hari Juang Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia, penggagas Hari Juang Polri, yakni Komjen (Purn) Arif Wachyunadi telah melakukan penelitian sejak 14 tahun lalu.
“Jadi memang sudah diteliti sejak 14 tahun lalu oleh Komjen Purnawirawan Arif Wachyunadi dan secara intens pada 2023 melaksanakan giat FGD dan sarasehan kemudian naskah akademik dan alhamdulillah 22 Januari terbit Keputusan Kapolri mengenai Hari Juang Polri.
